When first coming to the Harlem Art Center the visitor will most likely enter the southern courtyard. It connects you to the more public areas of the building, the art gallery, art supply store, pavilion, auditorium and restaurant. Designed as a space for the community the southern courtyard will not have gates separating it from the street, it will be an open space for all people of the community to enjoy.
